Ingredients:
4 cups chopped cooked chicken
1/2 pound macaroni
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup almonds slivered
5 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup whipping cream
3 tablespoons dry white wine
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat; add mushrooms and sauté until golden.
- In a sauce pan, melt the remaining butter over medium-low heat. Stir in flour, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add chicken broth and whipping cream; cook until sauce is thickened. Add chicken and mushrooms; heat through. Remove from heat, stir in wine and almonds.
- Place macaroni in greased baking dish. Pour sauce over pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned .
